Get to know me

untitledSo, a friend of mine decided to interview her favourite bloggers and one of them is me! She has her own lifestyle blog where she blogs about everything: decor, style and beauty. She follows a range of different blogs, so it’s not surprising that her three favourite bloggers is either a fashion blogger, a poetry blogger and then the best of one of all… a book blogger (i.e ME) πŸ˜‰

Please go check out her blog post about me. She asked a variety of general question and I think it was a fun thing to do.

Thanks Enid for hosting an interview about me on your blog! You also chose a nice day, cos today my blog is EXACTLY 6 months old, so it’s totally cool that my readers can learn a bit more about the non book blogging side of me πŸ™‚

    • Ai my maaitjie, dit sal net jy wees! As jy “juicy” antwoorde wil he, moet jy se Enid moet die “regte” vrae vra, LOL πŸ˜€

    • Haha, I did ask interesting questions and got even better answers but for now that will stay in the vault πŸ™‚

  • Fabulous! Like I told you earlier, I’ll be reading that interview soooooon!

  • YAY for 6 months…love the interview!

  • Lovely interview, nice getting to know you a little bit better!

    groetjes, Bettina

  • Loved the interview! I didn’t realize you like perfume so much! You should read The Perfume Collector, and someone else recommended The Perfect Scent-a non fiction- after they read my review.

    • Thanks Kerri! I will definitely read The Perfume Collector, I’ve seen so many good reviews on it.

Yes, I do like scents very much. All things that smell good, not just perfume. Flowers, scented candles, etc… Just makes me relax, that’s why I like burning scented candles at night when I am in bed with a book πŸ™‚

  • fantastic! great way to get more traffic to your blog as well πŸ™‚ Congrats on six months!

Happy 6 month blogoversary! It is my blog’s birthday too!

    • Thanks Shelley. I saw on your post yesterday that your blog is turning 3 πŸ™‚
I will probably “celebrate” when mine turns 1, and maybe do a giveaway. I’ll pop over to your blog now to see how you are celebrating πŸ™‚

  • Congrats on the 6 month mark πŸ™‚ looking forward to reading the post about you πŸ™‚ *races off to Almond Eyed Enid*

  • Wonderful interview Melinda. Like your sense of humour. Now if you love perfume have you read Perfume by Patrick Suskind – it’s set in France and is about a boy who has a highly developed olfactory system which enables him to create perfumes that cause people to swoon. France and perfume in one book sounds like the perfect choice for you.

    • Thanks Karen, it’s good to have a sense of humor.
I have been wanting to read that book for a while, because I absolutely loved the movie! I have blogged about wanting to read the book a while ago (my post here )

  • Happy sixth month-aversary! And I’m hopping over to read all about you now. πŸ™‚

    • And now I’m back to say that interview was amazing! I enjoyed learning about your passions, other than books. Keep posting those reviews!

      • I’m glad you enjoyed reading that interview. I will definitely keep on posting the reviews πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Sherrey!

  • Charming interview! I love how an abandoned perfume/nail polish blog led to the creation of this fantastic book blog.

    • Thanks Lubella. I just wasn’t that into it… πŸ™‚

  • I also loved The Shadow of the Wind!! Great quote.

    • It’s a great story, and who wouldn’t love a book about a book? Thanks for stopping by πŸ™‚

  • A wonderful interview, Melinda. Congratulations on your blog achievement! πŸ™‚

  • I like the comic image you used πŸ™‚

    • Thanks, it’s quite funny πŸ™‚

  • Happy Half-Birthday! Off to read your interview now.

  • What an awesome interview, I giggled for some of your answers because I kinda new most of the answers before I even read your replies to the questions… πŸ™‚
